Stadium Development Program, Ministry of Sport, Saudi Arabia
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has secured the holding of the 2027 AFC Asian Cup. The requirements are to renovate existing football stadiums and build new ones. All new stadiums will be designed to focus on sustainability and utilisation after the games have been hosted.
Stadiums will also be leveraged long after the competition, in line with the nation’s Vision 2030, by improving the venues’ usability for both other sports and non-athletic events. This will reinforce the stadiums’ central position within their communities.
This engagement document encompasses the following elements of the Ministry of Sport Development Programme:
